Constance Hearty

Director of Business Development:

Constance Hearty is a highly motivated business professional specializing in developing business relationships in hospitals, universities, government research laboratories and research institutions. She has extensive expertise in forming strategic alliances with a view to advancing commercial opportunities. Ms. Hearty has demonstrated an ability to formulate novel approaches to commercialization and plays a pivotal role in developing and implementing innovative strategies for technology partnerships at a global level.

Formerly the Director, Business Development with the University of Guelph and the prestigious Toronto Hospital for Sick Children, she generated significant research funding through contracts and licensing agreements as well as developed strategies for technology partnerships. She held a similar position at the University of Toronto as Director, Research Marketing and Business Development where she facilitated research partnerships with private companies working in biotechnology, software, and advanced materials sectors.

Ms. Hearty has worked in similar capacities for Health Economic Development, Biotechnology Council of Ontario, Ontario Hydro, the Canadian Fusion Fuels Technology Project and Atomic Energy of Canada Limited.
